Like most startup business with breakthrough technology, The Battery Clinic desulfation business started in a back shed. Trials and experimerntations with the Sulfarid desulfator led to a procedure that gave consistent results.
We called them Restored batteries because the state of the plates after desulfation are like new batteries.
We can successfully restore any lead acid battery from wet cells to Gels. Our success rate is higher with large traction and storage batteries as they have more active material.
Making and selling restored batteries underpins the business of the battery clinic. However it is the introduction of new innovative products to complement the battery business that sets the battery clinc apart.

In solar power production best is not about being the most efficient  conversion technology. It is about price and efficiency in alll light conditions. Amorphous panels such as the BD40 we supply exclusively in New Zealand has the lowest cost per watt of electricity produced. It continues to produce power in cloudy and overcast conditions. By far it's biggest advantage is being shadow resistant and not rendered ineffective by fallen leaves and bird droppings.

Aerotek Wind Generators - Marketing Rights

The Aerotek wind generator is the lightest 1 kilowatt wing generator on the market. It is a five bladed, brushless motor all aluminium, aerodynamically designed and constructed wind machine. We have a working relationship with the developers and are kept abreast with the development of this very exciting and innovative product. A 10 kilowatt version is planned.

Hybrid Cars - HEV Battery Pack

The Battery Clinic have developed a reputation as the formost experts in the restoration and reconditioning of HEV battery packs for hybrid vehicles. We service hybrid cars from all over New Zealand and Australia too. With the increasing penetration of hybrid vehicles into the automotive matket this business will grow exponentially.

Lithium Batteries

The move towards Lithium batteries have started with most hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles choosing lithium batteries as their power source. We have started reconditioning lithium batteries and developing the techniques to support and increase this area of the business.

Green Plug - Co-development

We approached a New Zealand company to develop the Green Plug as an alternative to Grid connect. The whole aim was to easily incoporate solar power in residential homes and to get the full value of electricity rates for every unit of power produced.

Producing power for your own use is a rewarding and sef satisfying experience. This area of the business is steadily growing and with the move towards sustainability and saving the planet more and more people will buy into this idea and lifestyle.

Producing power for the grid is possibly one of the best business to be in. There is always a buyer for the energy produced and price increases are assured. Developing sites for commercial power production is a  viable business for interested investors.

Green Batteries - Another innovative idea

Our associated company, Borid Energy introduced the modular battery commissioning charger. This enables small outlets to commission their own green batteries. This facility will be made available to all Battery Clinic outlets. New batteries fresh and 'straight out of the oven' so to speak. Coming soon.

At present we are not ready to licence the Battery Clinic Operations as revenue streams and the look and feel of our business model and trade marks are still being developed.
