Battery Reconditioning
Start
Battery : We put the battery on an exploratory charge for a
day. If the battery is capable of recovering to full health then we put
them on our desulfation schedule which will take 2 days. After
desulfation we test the battery for cold cranking amps and load holding
capability. If the battery passes this test we release it as a fully
restored battery.Deep Cycle Batteries : With the smaller deep cycle batteries the process is almost the same as for start batteries above. The only difference is that we have to put the battery on a capacity discharge test. This is to check if the battery ave enough capacity remaining for it's intended purpose

Replace or recondition.
This depends on the value of your
battery and how soon you need one. If you need a car battery for
starting your vehicle then it is easiest to purchase one off the shelf.
The price difference between getting your start battery reconditioned
and purchasing it off the shelf is $10. It will take us 3 days to
recondition and test your battery.
If you have deep cycle batteries that
need new life put into them then it would be a good idea to give them a
shot of desulfation before taking them out on the boat or summer camp.
If you have large storage banks that you
notice have lost some capacity then get them desulfated as early as
possible to lesses sheding of active material. We can often lend you a
small bank to keep you going while we work on your batteries.
For traction batteries in forklifts get
them on a service schedule with us so that they can last many more
years. We can often extend the working life of these batteries by a
factor of two or more.
Battery Maintenance Service
We can offer a service maintenance
contract to look after your storage and traction batteries. This will
take the form of an annual fee for which we will provide a monthly
service check. Depending on the contract desulfation may or may not be
included as part of the contract price. A service contract is useful for those who wants to keep their battery bank in good working order but do not have the staff or expertise to look after the batteries.
